Origin New England
Origin is progressing a portfolio of renewable energy development projects within the NSW Government-designated New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).
This includes the proposed Ruby Hills Wind Farm and Salisbury Solar Farm projects, acquired from Walcha Energy.
The Ruby Hills Wind Farm is around 10km west of Walcha, and the Salisbury Solar Farm is around 10km south of Uralla in the southern part of the New England REZ.
The proposed Northen Tablelands Wind Farm, to be built on the Origin-owned Warrane property, is located around 18km north-west of Armidale in the central part of the New England REZ.
The acquisition of these early-stage development projects is a further step towards the objectives of growing renewables and storage capacity within Origin’s generation portfolio.
