Projects

Origin plans to continue to develop the Ruby Hills Wind Farm and Salisbury Solar Farm. The acquisition of these early-stage development projects is a further step towards our objective of growing renewables and storage capacity within our generation portfolio.

Ruby Hills Wind Farm

The planned 870MW Ruby Hills Wind Farm is 10km west of Walcha, in the southern part of the New England REZ.

Salisbury Solar Farm

The planned 450MW Salisbury Solar Farm is around 10km south of Uralla in the southern part of the New England REZ.

Both projects are in the early stages of development and Origin is committed to genuine community and stakeholder engagement and communication. Our approach is built on being proactive, transparent and inclusive.

Northern Tablelands Wind Farm (Warrane)

The proposed Northern Tablelands Wind Farm (to be located on the 7,586 hectare ‘Warrane’ property purchased in mid-2023) is 18km north-west of Armidale in the centre of the New England Renewable Energy Zone.  The property is currently being maintained as an ongoing agricultural operation while it’s future development potential is being assessed.

We plan for a long-term presence in the local community, with the aim to earn and maintain trust for the life of every project we undertake.
